design dialogue – a monthly column for printweek india magazine (2018-2020)

After freelancing with them on and off for years, I started writing a monthly column for Printweek India magazine (a B2B print magazine for the printing community of India, published by the Haymarket Group). The column ‘Design Dialogue’ was created to throw spotlight on some of the most interesting graphic design studios/independent designers based in India.

Here are some pieces I worked on:

Printweek India talks to Ashwini Deshpande, co-founder of Elephant, a design led innovation company that’s been around for three decades

Packaging should do way more than just scream out the name of the brand: Pritha Sahai, founder, Please See (design studio based in Mumbai)

We wanted to follow a deeper ethos and a process oriented approach towards design – Samira Gupta and Dhritiman Deb Pillai, founders, Studio Eksaat

We speak to Ruchita Madhok and Aditya Palsule, co-founders and principal designers of Mumbai based Kahani Designworks about some of their recent work

The last five years in the life of Indian print comics (2018): PrintWeek India speaks to four people from the print comics business to get a lowdown on how the landscape has evolved over the last five years

We speak to the founder of Letterpress Design Studio – Rukminee Guha Thakurta – about her journey as a publication designer
